Floortec is owned and operated by Karl and Rachel Collins and Floortec was established 2003, although karl has been involved in cleaning and floor restoration working in Offices, Supermarkets, Shops and public buildings for over 23 years.

In 1991 established Carpetmaster & Scotchcare services focusing on maintenance and restoration of Carpets and Fabrics which we still maintain today carpet is one type of flooring but there are so many floor coverings to choose to suit, some simply come and go like ever changing high street fashions ("remember Sisal or african sea grass?") so did the dog".

There are Vinlys like Karndean, Amtico, Rubber, Linoleum once popular in the 60's is back again and a lot more colourful, laminates, engineered wood floors by the hundreds, Bamboo is now the Eco favourite for wood flooring extremely hard wearing attractive and in comparison to many other trees a lot faster growing and easily replenished,

Natural stone for example Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Granite, Terrazzo, Slate, Sandstone has become extremely popular through demand, lower prices and world wide accessibility you no longer have to be very wealthy to own it, but be aware that stone is graded and the price you pay reflects that.

Man made engineered flooring such as Porcelain, ceramics, Terracotta, cotto and quarry tiles are also becoming very popular.
